Miranda Silveira Templer is a professional ballet dancer born in Brazil and raised in Spain. She trained in classical dance at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma in Madrid, after beginning her training in different styles such as hip-hop, jazz, modern dance, and ballet during her childhood in Barcelona.
At just 17 years old, she joined the San Francisco Ballet, where she started as an apprentice in 2013 and was promoted to the corps de ballet in 2014. During her time with the company, she performed repertoire by renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Mark Morris, Liam Scarlett, Christopher Wheeldon, and Arthur Pita.
In 2020 she returned to Spain to join the Compañía Nacional de Danza, and the following season she joined The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago as a company dancer, where she performed leading roles in works by Gerald Arpino and Nicolas Blanc.
She later settled in Denmark, where she works as a freelance dancer and educator, teaching at The Royal Danish Ballet School and participating in international projects such as the Svendborg Ballet Theater and the Pathways to Performance program in the United States. From 2024 she is also part of the revival of the London City Ballet.
In addition to her career as a performer, Silveira is also a creator, coach, and educator, and a member of the UNESCO International Dance Council. She has performed on stages across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and continues to develop artistic and educational projects related to dance and well-being.
