Solo dancers

Alba Nadal was born in Zaragoza and brought up in Catalonia, first with Olga Roig in Manresa and later on, at Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. She travelled to Madrid at the young age of twelve to continue with Victor Ullate, and finished her formation at the Royal Ballet in London. Since 2004 until 2019 she danced with the Royal Danish Ballet and now she is soloist at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe under the leadership of Bridget Breiner.

Ballet education:

1987-1994. At “Olga Roig Ballet School” in Manresa.
1995-1997. At “Institut del teatre”. Barcelona.
1998-2002. At Victor Ullate Ballet School. Madrid.
2003-2004. Full scholarship for the last year at the Royal Ballet Upper School.
2004-2019, dancer at the Royal Danish Ballet.
2019-until present day. Soloist at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.

Academic education:

Graduated at Instituto Cervantes (Madrid).
Studied “Humanities” at U.O.C (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) and continued with “Psychology” studies at the same university.

• Reumert nomination as “Best Dancer” in Denmark 2017 for “A Naked Feeling” by Stefanos Bizas from Danish Dance Theatre and “Beginning and Ending” by Oliver Starpov for the role of Forest Queen, The Royal Danish Theatre.

Productions:

Together with David Rodriguez, Luke Prunty, Elisenda Duocastella and Manel Camp, she produces her first full length production: Casa d’àngels, inspired by the Catalan
author Mercè Rodoreda and premiered in December 2022 at Teatre Kursaal in Manresa.
